[MAD ZACH COUNTRYMAN] is the first EP of a HAENG IN. He has been released several times through various labels, but it is also the first release in about two years in Korea. If you are interested in electronic music, maybe you saw the name "Mad Zach" in the title of the album. Mad Zach is the name of a German electronic music producer and sound designer.
HAENG IN said producer & sound designer, modular artist Zach Countryman sent his sample packs and made the album to show his appreciation. so the title is [MAD ZACH COUNTRYMAN] made with the name of producer Mad Zach + Zach Countryman
(language play and praise for Zach Countryman)
The album has a total of 10 tracks, including three original tracks produced solely by Zach Countryman's sample packs and VIP (Variation In Production) version of his debut track "DEMOLITION".
(this version included SYUNMAN's scratching)
so this album is filled with a total of four original songs and remixes of HAENG IN's friends, seniors.
"MAD" is a song that allows you to feel the sound design mechanism of HAENG IN. After the early part, which is reminiscent of IDM, you can check the low tone that rings your ears. the synthesizer on top of it makes the listener feel a boost, and the atmosphere naturally leads to track 2.
"PAROIKOUS" is the only song in the album that has a voices except for the sound signature of "HAENG IN." Y2K92 simo and Y2K92 jibin participated in the featuring.
The composition of the song, Y2K92 simo & Y2K92 jibin's unique lyrics and flow design, which are different from ordinary hip-hop, have the characteristics that the song takes the form of a leftfield hiphop but is easily accessible to the listeners.
The so-called "danceable" in music since the 2000s is quite an important factor for listeners and "PAROIKOUS" solved it with the charm contained in the two rhythm sections: drum and rap.
From the self-assertive beat to the unmatched featuring, "PAROIKOUS" is a good example of collaboration between producers and players.
After the previous three songs, remixes of Subp Yao, Vhsceral, Gisulbu and IOAH follow. They reinterpreted HAENG IN's songs in a way that is close to bass music, and a series of songs that would actually be good to listen to in clubs will be played in succession.
Later on track 8, "ZACH COUNTRYMAN," Barton returns to HAENG IN again. At first glance, it may feel like a series of remixes, but HAENG IN uses the synthesizer used in the introduction of "PAROIKOUS" once again to make it clear to the listener that it is his turn.
Given that the song is of the same name as the album one part and that it was actually designed with sounds reminiscent of Mad Zach's music, this writing has room for HAENG IN's intended wish and interpretation.
The following remixes of HØST and Zimbu complete the album's ups and downs by maintaining the groove of the original song but revealing their own individuality and color.
Obviously [MAD ZACH COUNTRYMAN] is not a kind album. The sound rings the listener's ears throughout the album, and HAENG IN sounds like enjoying this texture.
This is all the more obvious when you think of the humorous album artwork. Those who participated in the remix may also have composed the direction of the song into bass music in consideration of this, and the fact that the HAENG IN included it in the album also supports this point.
On the other hand, it seems that the beginning of the album was made for the satisfaction of the manias or HAENG IN, not the public from the beginning. The album delivers a clear taste to those who like the sound of strong bass and unique textures.
Although only four of ten songs are HAENG IN's songs, the pleasure that eventually comes from [MAD ZACH COUNTTRYMAN] is a HAENG IN's contribution. because each participants remixed his songs.
If you're curious about his next interest, let's keep an eye to him. When the listeners and his tastes match, HAENG IN will surely give you another [MAD ZACH COUNTRYMAN].

What a wild ride this one is. Detailed, layered and the keyword here is experimental. Might initially turn off the more impatient listener, but I promise this is worth your time. A true electronic masterpiece and hidden gem. palehorse666
